I found using an adjustable cam gear with the "A" cam didn't make that much of a difference. Brought back a little bottom end, but the "A" cam isn't that radical and does OK straight up. IMO: Maybe worth one of Dale's $50 drilled gears but not the expensive IPD or RSI version.

I'd be a little cautious pushing the valve springs with 245K miles on them.
