Hi didn't realize that you were that far along. Still seems like a lot of body work though. The reality is that the guy who puts in all the money almost never gets it back and so it's good that you're planning on keeping her for a long time. My 67, as I said, had a $7,500 purchase price.
The previous owner bought it for that amount in California then trailered it home across the country and kept for a year then sold it to me for what he paid for it sans the tow. The Californian who sold it to him told me he had over $25,000 in it (he stopped counting after that). The entire undercarriage, for instance, had been powder coated in black. I've probably put another $5,000 in upgrades into it. I don't keep track either.
