Your understanding is current, and rare on these boards. All you see these days are folks trying to judge parts by the retailer, distributor, name on the bag, or country of origin. With Volvo no longer interested in RWD warranty parts, even those we get from the dealer are suspect. And our ability to judge them, without the tools of a factory incoming inspection team, pitiful.
