Question about connecting SU HS6 choke cables.

Hello,

With that style of choke cable clamp you will need to remove about an inch of the black plastic outer covering of the outer cable before trying to install into the clamp.

This will reveal the wound flat metal wire of the outer cable.

We carefully use a single edge razor blade to strip the outer covering.

If you have the reproduction cable, the outer diameter of the outer cable without the plastic covering is larger than the original and you will have to carefully spread the two ears of the cable receiver without breaking.

I do this with the little clamp removed.

This is because they are not using the same outer cable.

The original outer cable did not have a Teflon lining like the reproduction cable.
