Hello,

Correct.

The 544s never got a taillight assembly with a reverse light.

There was an optional add on reverse light.

It was a single light assembly and it was mounted to the rear bumper, usually on the drivers side as it is closer to the wire harness inside the trunk.

You should be able to find similar looking driving or running lights to use.

Make sure you use a relay as the ground trigger on the transmission can not handle a large load.
