You'll probably need to ground the lamps--have you tried a simple jump wire ground to see what happens. Besides the ground there's another modification you should make--power the lamps through a relay under the hood (of sufficient capacity) and use the dashboard switch only to ground (trip) the relay--that will better assure full voltage to the lamps. -- Dave
