Hey sixvolvos,

I am in the process of troubleshooting an intermittent problem with my passenger side seat control. I am proceeding with extreme caution because of a previous bad experience with a an 850 turbo sedan in which I inadvertently set off the SIPS passive restraint system...

SIDE IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM, aka SIPS: if you do not properly disconnect it, it is very close and very loud. Fortunately, we were replacing the seats and installing a cage (rally car conversion), but it was a WTF moment.

If anyone has any specific info, especially illustrations, I also would appreciate your your sharing. Thanks!
