1991 240 sputters and stops

It would be helpful to know if there are any fault codes stored in the OBD system. The 700/900 FAQ's on this site have a good description on the process to read and clear those codes.

For your 240 use the Bosch LH Jetronic code table. There can be up to three seperate fault codes stored in the OBD system at one time. Make note of any stored codes (other than the 1-1-1 code that indicates "no faults"). Then clear the codes per the instructions and start running the car again and recheck the codes to see what the first one(s) are to reappear.
