IPD horn installation 700

Do the new horns have two wires or terminals?

If so -

Check your existing wires

One should have 12 volts all the time.

The other should have nothing - when the horn button is pressed, that wire should have 0 or a couple of ohms to ground - it should never have voltage on it.


If your existing wires are as I mentioned, connect the 12 volt wire to the + terminal of the horn and connect the wire that grounds when the horn is pressed to the - terminal.

If your new horns have only one wire or terminal they are made for some other circuit arrangement.

If so email me or mention it in this thread.
