Ignition Switch issues 120-130

Scot;

Your symptoms are indeed unusual, so please confirm them! Usually the key wont turn at all or just breaks after all the accumulated fatigue of having turned zillions of times...I've NEVER heard of one turning, but not all the way to Pos4!

Please use the correct terminology! Tumblers are the pins which tumble into the cuts of the key and keep the LOCK CYLINDER from turning. If the key turns OK to Pos3 in the Lock Cylinder, but not to the momentary Pos4, that suggests a mechanical problem, and by removing the Lock Cylinder as other poster suggests, and trying to turn the switch with a flatblade screw-driver inserted in the slot which the Lock Cylinder tailpiece normally turns, you are able to determine if the Lock Cylinder or the Switch has the problem.

I suggest you determine which of the two items has the problem, but since you are able to apply Ignition power with the key (please confirm that the AMP indicator goes ON when you turn key to Pos3) this is an ideal case where the pushbutton switch will save the day...because you wont need to turn the key to Pos4!

Kits are in stock so wont take long to send out as some of the other kits which take a lot longer...and which I'm behind on. (Sorry guys!)

Cheers
