After I had my '67 122S 4dr. repainted a few years ago, (all glass was removed before painting), I found it much easier to install the headliner prior to re-installing the rear window. I'm not sure if it would be the same for the PV544.
Also the following link has all Volvo Green Manuals on line for the the PV120/130/220 series cars; http://volvoamazonpictures.se/documents/sevice_manuals/8Body120.pdf

Maybe someone knows if the Volvo Manuals are also available on line for the PV544.
