(FIXED) for now -- throttle sensor switch... 200 1986

"Buddy of mine suggested that since 'fixing' the no start but losing power at throttle the throttle sensor switch might be malfunctioning and momentarily tripping into an idle mode."

Anything is possible but this is highly unlikely.

"I would not be surprised if the small fuel line inside the tank is letting air through."

It is actually a pretty big fuel line but REALLY short. Unlikely to be an evap leak issue.

We need to understand this loss of power better.

Does the car have a tach?
Is it just a reduction of power mid acceleration (or cruise for that matter) or like the car completely quits for a second then resumes?
Any chance you have the really important (for your year) spare known good AMM?
