I gotta think you meant 3/8".
Yeah, I've seen where folks have adapted the stock gauge to electric, but I'm not looking to do that. I really don't want to cut the tube to pull the engine and then have to repair ($$$) the gauge/sending unit or source another one ($$). Can't figure out what's preventing them from separating. By carefully twisting a longer section of the tube, I've gotten a full turn on the gland nut, and theoretically enough space below the sending unit to allow it to descend enough to break free of the nut, but I am still unable to rotate one independently of the other.
The addition of heat is not an option. Ultrasound?
