Yes the sensor is not easy to reach. Much easier to test its operation from the comfort of the cabin, by measuring resistance at the ECU connector pin 2. Or back-probe the lead and get the voltage to see it drop as it warms. There are some more details in the 7/9 FAQ.
This would be a good opportunity for you to learn more about the hybrid you bought, as the B230 had a different fuel system than the B23, including the fuel computer unit. Look for the Bosch number and the last three digits on the computer behind the passenger's right kick panel. You have to wonder how much of the swap was done...
