thanks for this, from me as well.

now, you say that the A/C compressor did not fully disengage from the mount. since I have to replace my compressor (with a rebuilt unit, not new!) some time next spring, I am curious as to why this was the case.

I did just tackle the power steering lines. not a particularly fun job, but maybe not as bad as your job.
