ABS problems 900 1991

Dear ibs740,

Hope you're well. I'd repeat the "disconnect battery and re-connect" twice more. Sometimes, repetition is required to clear faults from the ABS and SRS systems.

I'd guess - and so do not know - that the ABS system is less tolerant of a weak signal from the in-differential sensor.

Based on reading several years of posts, the front-wheel ABS sensors seem rarely to fail. The rear sensor's wiring harness is a "weak point". That harness - if not properly secured - can be damaged by rubbing against things.

I'd also find out why the cruise control does not work. It requires a speed signal from the speedometer. Also, check to see if your bulb burn-out relay is in good order: when that relay fails, the cruise control ceases to work.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
