Hello,

The later threaded starters use larger 12mm bolts instead of the 7/16" original bolts.

Besides needing new bolts, you will need to drill the holes in the bellhousing, which is not an easy task as there is not enough room to use a standard drill motor with the drill bit.

To make the hole larger, I use a short modified 12mm drill bit. I ground the end of the drill bit square and use a 12 point socket, a universal socket with an extension driven by a power tool.
