Hello,

Its not hard but it's not a straight forward job.

1. You have to remove the door panel. Remove white plastic clips (pry them downwards) at underneath lower door pockets, remove speaker grille (push onto it and slide it sideways towards door hinge) and remove the red safety light lens (pry it outwards).

2. Disconnect door wirings at back of panel

3. No need to dismantle window motor/guide rails

4. With panel removed, clear the bits of broken glass inside door and window railings. This may be tedious. Use a pick/tweezers. The railings must be clear of glass bits or else the new window can't get in and slide smoothly.

5. Connect back the window motor wiring and position the window attachment bar to its lowest point in door.

6. Slide in the new window. It may helps to slide in the narrow (slanted) portion of the glass first then its remaining glass body.

7. Slide the new window up/down along its rails (using hands) to test its alignment. Place the window upwards again. Have a helper to hold the window still or tape the window onto door frame to hold it up there.

8. Connect back the window motor wiring and position the window attachment bar mid-point upwards so that you may access it thru the door frame opening.

9. Lower the new window slowly (using hands/helper) onto the attachment bar.

10. Lock the new window's tabs onto the bar.

11. Test the new window's movement before putting back the door panel.

My front passenger's door window had the same incident last time. The thief took out my in-dash Sony CD player. So nowadays I don't put any more radio/cd/amp into the dash. Instead I wired a computer speaker with subwoofer and place it at the front passenger's footwell. And its connected via a mini 3.5mm plug to my iPod.

Next time a potential thief peers thru my windows they will only see empty dashboard!
