Basic paint touch up tips? 200

Hello Keith,

I have used paintscratch.com supplies for a repaint of a front bumper on our white 99 v70 and hood on the green 93 245. For the bumper I believe I got a can of SEM plastic primer, proper matching white and clearcoat for something like $60.

The bumper required two cans of green, and two of clearcoat. After sanding I had some bare spots, so I picked up some primer locally.

The bumper came out great but it really is a problem location so it really isn't holding up too well. The hood is holding up better but the clearcoat is starting to peel in a couple of spots. I believe I spent about $100 on the hood.

I think even using rattle cans, it still takes some experience to do a decent job. Besides paintscratch.com there were other paint outfits. All you need is your paint code and a few $$. I think I'd try the rubbing compound first though, as the other poster suggested. Good luck.
