'69 145 - Thinking about converting TO a BW35 140-160 1969

Hey to ya, I have an aw71 behind a B-20. I have not driven the car yet but I can tell ya that to modify the bell housing you need to make a jig to get your centers before you cut the bell housing. Then when the welder welds it up he needs to tack it right before the welding starts so as to not pull things off center. It can be complicated. My welder done a great job welding and the jig that was made took him a long time to make. He is no longer around because of an unfortunate death. The drive train is in a 544 with a 140 trans tunnel. Driveshaft was modified using original center bearing and location. Shift linkage was modified for floor shifter. A modified 240 cross member was used. Hope this helps a bit. Larry
