Carb Tuning 120-130 1968

Justin;

You don't expect to be able to bolt on these carbs and have them be perfectly adjusted, do you?? That's not what you payed for when you had them rebuilt. You might be missing something here!

Derek is right...once carbs are rebuilt, it is assured that everything they do, and can do, can be adjusted/tuned for correct operation with engine they are mounted on, with its specific operating conditions (filters, cam, manifold, ignition timing, even air temperature and density) and that STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE, if possible guided by an experienced mechanic who knows his way around the carbs, as it will take less time than you alone on a learning curve...adjustments include: mixture, idle, choke, and fastidle.

Maybe, as the next best thing to having that experience mechanic guiding you, here is some suggested reading: http://www.sw-em.com/SU%20Carb%20Service.htm

Once you're confident with the Lite section, move on to the Expanded section! Post questions here!

Good Hunting!
