B18 HS6 problems 140-160 1968

Good point. The PO said he recently put some new fuel in the tank to try to dilute the bad gas, but it's still old gas. I guess I wasn't thinking about the viscosity of the fuel itself.

When I first got the car, I hooked a vacuum pump up to the line before the fuel pump and sucked fuel through to make sure it was clear. Zero dirt or rust came through, so I figured I was good to go.

The weird thing is that the bowls are completely full and it'll only run for a few seconds unless I move the choke in and out. This tells me that the issue is in the fuel's ability to make it up the jet, not with the rest of the fuel system. But if the bowls are full of thick fuel, that could cause my issue.

I think that to test this, I'll run a long fuel line from my motorcycle tank to my 140's fuel pump and see if it runs well on clean fuel.

Thanks for the idea.
