looking for control module 700

Hi Bruce and Andy,

I sympathize/empathize with Andy as he just likes his car as I do my '88 740. however, this is my one car, Andy, so need to keep it going. It has developed a case of sudden death and resurrection, which you can read about on a thread titled "how do I test a fuel pump relay" and "fuel pump relay question" both of which may be irrelevant, as I have been doing some detective work and finding new leads.

I trusted two "expert" garages to solve the problem, and they just threw a bunch of parts (including a new ECU) at it, with questionable results - yeah, the car has been stuck in my driveway for the better part of five months and cost of $1345. Stay tuned, and don't give up.
