Don't assume the shop actually road tested the car. Most of the jobs I had in my career - both dealers and indies - allowed and encouraged a thorough road test by the mechanic (technicians hadn't been invented yet) so I was shocked when I went to work at a dealer where the cars got driven into the shop- then out - got parked and that was it! -- Dave
