I tried Pertronix. Worked well for about 5 years. But then started to misbehave. Maybe a voltage spike? Also tried "Hot Spark". Same problem. So back to points which aren't likely to leave you by the side of the road (switching in points).

Have purchased a Crane xr-700 ignition. Yet to install because shutter installation tricky.
