HELP Ball joint/strut tower problem 200

The bolt is not that hard. It is metric 8.8, and thread locker there is Volvo's idea.

I've always feared this happening to me, as it means a lot of work I usually hope to avoid -- like pulling the whole strut assembly. I'm not fond of vertical-up welding or drilling and therefore not very good at it, so I'd want to have it out of the car.

I did learn something from Phil's response. I'd never thought of using a clearance hole-sized bit to start the center. That man is brilliant.
