I suppose I'm a cross between Lieutenant Columbo and Adrian Monk. I don't have any good dirty trick stories, as I've avoided the car repair profession pretty well all my life. I'm sure there are a lot more honest technicians and shop owners than not, but I'm not convinced they are sleuths at heart, in general. Most are just trying to earn a living in a tough field.
