Checking Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 200 1983

You are correct Art. I DID test it once with the blue wire. But I only did so after the engine had warmed (on a fairly warm day). I have not wrapped it back up but will do so once this is all done. So I will do it with the engine stone cold and then watch the readings as it warms up.

I am hoping I do not have to replace this thing as it seems a complete pain to get at. I managed to pull back the boot the other day. But I could not manage to get it back into place. So I have to figure that actually replacing it is really hard/painful (at least without removing a pile of stuff). I would guess there are some tricks and/or tools that would make it easier to do.
