Wiring mods are not necessary with the recommended 60A units, and the will have plenty of headroom for additional loads. Alt case style is 10 or 12SI with connector at 12O'Clock position, but all that (including recommended PNs) is covered in detail in the documentation, so there's really no need to worry about it now.
