D-Jet High idle

If the idle adjustment is screwed all the way in and the throttle plate is completely closed then you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

When you disconnected the cold idle valve did you cap off the intake port good and tight?

Does your car have that goofy EGR setup that could be leaking?

It could be the brake booster is leaking air. Try capping off the booster vacuum hose.
