I own a 92 volvo 240 wagon and this is my first repair on my own. I just finished changing my water pump, however, not without a hiccup- I broke off a mounting bolt during re-installation. I can bring it to a local machine shop to bore it out.
My question is about the fan pulley. During the removal process- I wanted to murder said fan pulley for as I was attempting to remove each bolt, the fan pulley just spun around. It took me a while to find a wrench long enough and thin enough to maneuver both wrenches in that tiny space.
After the water pump was replaced and everything had been reinstalled I noticed that now I cannot turn the fan pulley at all!
Should I be able to turn the pulley by hand? I feel like I could before the replacement but I cannot honestly remember.
Any advice and experience is appreciated. Thank you!!
