1993 cruise control doesn't work

Yes, I have the red/white spade hooked up to my small 52mm tach that is next to the radio. The yellow/red is in the lower right hand corner ...so that was correct.
My cruise switch at brake pedal has about 1 mm clearance ...so that should be OK.

The computer is a Hella 5GA 004 397-05 with large plug-in and a single male spade to the right of that but there is single female wire that is incorporated into the same harness in which it is occupied.
