Tracking down my lost 1800 1800

I got curious about your lost treasure and used google to find this listing for a beautifully restored California P1800 which includes the VIN you may still have records of
https://www.schmitt.com/inventory/ds-1971-volvo-p1800e/

Checking out the web page source coding, it looks like that Schmitt listing dates to early 2017, with the photos dating to late 2016, last updated in 2018. Further googling hasn't turned up any bid history. SOLD may indicate it didn't meet reserve. I'm guessing a good $30K USD is the kind of money they were talking then, likely much, much more now. That is one gorgeous classic Volvo so emblematic of everything Volvo stood for in fun driving! In 1971 I'd have been tooling around having fun in my '66 122S and a safari yellow P1800 would have turned my head right around and got me jealous for sure.
