If the starter motor does indeed click then the solenoid is getting power and your ignition switch should be OK.

If the big wires to the battery and ground are OK as well then my guess would the that the Bendix on starter motor is probably getting worn and jamming in the gear teeth.

If you have a manual trans you could try putting it in gear and rocking the car back and forward a bit to loosen it and try restarting.

Just guessing, but that was the problem on a car I had once..
