I am currently running a set of 195/60/15's on my '73 142 mounted on the stock steel wheels. The steering is a bit stiff at slow speeds and parallel parking will build up the shoulders in a hurry but that might have something to do with the small leather wrapped IPD steering wheel ;) These tires plant more than an inch of extra rubber on the pavement so even with the larger, stock steering wheel I would imagine it would be a bit stiff. No problem with rubbing with the 195/60's but the 195/65's will be a bit larger outside diameter. I think the 195/60's are closer to stock diameter which will not throw your speedo out too far either.
