Hi Mike - I was ready to post this same question! I read in a previous post from the grand Don Foster where he mentioned that there should be a negative pressure (1 - 1.5 in H20). I have cleaned and or replaced everything associated with the cranckcase recirculation system (i.e. flame trap, metered orifice, hoses, etc.) to no avail. I am noticing the positive pressure when I remove my oil filler cap. My old "block" will turn over 250,000 miles tomorrow. Are our problems excessive blow-by from the pistons? Something restricted (what else lies below) below the vapor trap (I removed and cleaned)? The pages of my Bently and Haynes manuals are smokin' to no avail.
Oh great Don Foster or rhaire - please explain to us lowly grasshoppers the holy grail. :)
