I started to remove the head bolts on my spare engine, which mysteriously appeared in my garage last year, and found my breaker bar was too short, or I wasn't strong enough. I got a small length of boiler pipe, the power plant here was being re-tubed so I nabbed it, and used it with the breaker bar. Those bolts were in really tightly and groaned under the stress. Most of them were loosened ok but then the socket broke. Two fractures along the body of the 14 mm 1/2" drive 12pt socket. Not bad for 25 years of abuse. I'm off to Sears for a replacement. I'll probably pick up a thick walled impact type socket and manybe some 6pt sockets too, as was discussed here earlier.
