just happened to replace the rack in my '83 last weekend with a remanufactured unit just this past weekend. it was straight forward and

pretty simple as for special tools really just a tie-rod end seperator,thats about it except for a couple of wrenches and a few sockets.

the whole job took me about 3 hours,but i do have a compressor and air tools
