"Gas" within the context of your discussion, refers to ~REFRIGERANT GAS~

which, presumably is what you meant by "Freon", which is actually an abrogation of a corporate trademark. Further, "Freon" has been illegal for manufacture since 1991.

Please, even if you ~think~ I'm a dick anyway..... please be careful.

In case I seem edgy.... there was this little incident when I was 16.... similar to what you are doing..... something went wrong......I was a moron... and I almost lost a chunk of my forehead when a fitting cut loose.
