Trunk Lock 700 1990

I am unable to get into the trunk of my 1990 Volvo 4 door sedan 760. The lock turns left and right with ease. I understand that the car door locks can be tied into the trunk lock, but this failed also. Is there a manual button? HELP...please...:-) Thank you
