Wiring Problems 200 83

I found that all of the wires at the top of the tailgate/body interface were cut, so I matched all of the wires by color and rejoined them. Now, only my license plate lights work (ie the wagon's wiper and defroster don't work). Moreover, I get a blown fuse every time I use my power locks. What's happening with the wiring?
