Unscrew cargo lamps so they hang free. The headliner has metal bands on the edges which fit into slots around the edges of the roof and can be easily pulled out. The fabric tension keeps it in place so you should not have much resistance.

Try 'Spray nine' cleaner for cleaning the old one. That stuff works!
