overdrive problem 700 1989

Just wanted to thank you all out there for posting the helpful info about the overdrive problems. My 740GLE started showing an overdrive-off arrow before the overdrive quit working. After trouble shooting it, I concluded that it was niether the switch, nor the solenoid, but something else...the relay. Your info showed me where the relay was. I went to the junkyard and bought a used one for $10, as mine showed no signs of bad soldering (Looked newer than the other relays, it probably was changed recently). Problem solved! There's no telling how much $$$ this has saved me. Thanks for the help!!!!
