Whew! Years ago, I remember reading about some guy that devised an invector gizmo for his 6-cylinder Chevy. He had a compressor -- on the engine, or electric, I don't know -- that charged a tank in his trunk. When he wanted boost, he dumped the compressed air into the invector, and this induced a large influx into his intake system. Sorta like "turbo in a can". If it worked at all, it only worked for a few seconds -- just enough to beat a 283 (maybe a 265?) off the line. Musta been before the days of nitrous oxide. Don't laugh!
