Re: brake drum removal ALL 1966

Beside the EXCELLENT advice you've gotten so far, this is gonna sound dumb. However...

Make sure that the brake adjustment is fully backed off, or you'll be fighting the brake shoes along with the drums.

When you're doing the brakes, you might want to remove these adjusters and give them a shot of penetrant to cut the corrosion, then maybe a trace of wheel bearing grease on the adjuster threads and the flanks of the "nose cone thingie".
