I'm not sure what year and series car you have BUT;

Volvo Timing belts SHOULD be replaced every 50K.

The squeaky clutch, Grrr mine does it too. On my other cars it's easy to pull the arm off, use a heavy grease, Bearing grease, and put it together. The Volvo has the spring attached, not so easy. actually, It probably is the spring that is making the noise not the shaft.

As far as your rattle; Check the shields that are on your exhaust system, the spot welds break and they will rattle. Volvo has weak motor mounts, If one of these have failed, you will get rattling due to the increased vibration.
