The 240 registered zero driver deaths/100,000 registered vehicles over a 4 year study from 89-92 model years. Good for first place among the 100 or so models studied. The 700 registered 0.7 deaths and came in second. Nothing beats the 240. There are rumors about 850 safety problems, but I do not know the detals.
