Re: temp sensor 200 1991

I am also trying to test my temp sensor. My car was having trouble with cold start and high idle once warm. After messing with other sensors, I now have even bigger problems. My car won't even idle, I can barely keep it running. I was told to disconnect the air mass meter and if the car runs better, replace the meter. It did run better without the meter. I got a price of $250.00 on the meter and still believe there is other problems elsewhere. I received a code of 4-1-3 which is the EGR temp sensor. I just received a EGR vacuum controller which I was told was bad($130.00) Anyway, how do I go about testing the coolant temp sensor from the EZ 116K controller? I'm afraid I will have spent $1000 by the time I'm done. I know all of these parts can't be bad. Where should I start? Any advice I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg
