My experience with "fixed" SEV regulators has not been good other

than doing things like cleaning the contacts, and you MUST not do this

while the battery is connected or the engine running.

You can adjust the spring tension with it running but be sure and

do it with a meter connected - a little bending makes a big difference.

If you push down the "relay" when the engine is not running you will fry

the regulator.
