Oh, come ON!! You don't have to justify a wrangler purchase... they're a blast. The ride is even worse than a 240, if that's possible.

The 4.2 is usually a decent engine.

And look at this--you STILL get an Aisin Warner transmission with the Jeep. The AX-15.

Plan most certainly on replacing the clutch slave cylinder, and maybe the master, when the slave takes a vacation. It's likely that the P.O. has had it replaced at least once, but usually every 50-70k. But you never know. The 90 has an internal slave cylinder so it usually it dumps fluid on the clutch when it goes. Not that hideous of a deal, really. I don't know if they upgraded the problem areas for new parts or what, but if the old stuff is in there, it's waiting for a vacation. Other than that, it's a pretty good little truck... and a pretty simple one. Plus lots of room to slide underneath :)
